Region XXIV Reclaims the Spotlight in Latest NJCAA Rankings

Region XXIV once again made its mark nationally this week as several men’s and women’s basketball programs earned recognition in the latest NJCAA polls.

Men’s Basketball

Vincennes returned to the top spot in Division I men’s basketball, reclaiming No. 1 in the nation and reasserting itself as the team to beat.

In Division II, Danville Area surged to No. 7, while Parkland followed at No. 11. Illinois Central and Rend Lake also earned Receiving Votes, giving Region XXIV four teams represented in the D2 men’s poll this week.

Women’s Basketball

Southwestern Illinois continued its upward climb in Division I women’s basketball, moving to No. 17 in the latest rankings.

Division II women’s basketball remained heavily Region XXIV-influenced, led by Lincoln Land at No. 2, with Parkland at No. 9 and Illinois Central at No. 10, further cementing the region’s national depth.
